I’m a product-focused UI/UX designer with a background that spans design, QA, business analysis, and project management. Whether I’m wireframing a new interface, defining requirements, or running a usability test, I approach every challenge with a balance of creative intuition and systems thinking.
With roots in music production and live performance, I see every product like a track - built layer by layer, refined through feedback, and only finished when it hits just right. I thrive in cross-functional teams, translating technical constraints into human-centered solutions, and aligning design with real-world outcomes. My goal is to make things that are not only beautiful and functional, but also strategically sound and technically resilient.
While pursuing my B.S. at Wright State, I worked part-time at Reynolds & Reynolds as a Business Analyst. There, I contributed to the design of a new internal ERP system to replace multiple legacy platforms used across the company. This role gave me firsthand experience in systems analysis and stakeholder engagement, and taught me how to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences - a skill I continue to rely on today.
After graduating, I joined UES, Inc. as a Systems Analyst, where I led the design, testing, and release of a materials data management system and its related toolsets. This role strengthened my project management abilities and gave me the opportunity to oversee the full product lifecycle. I also served as the UI/UX Designer for Dayton’s premier Air Force focused software factory. In that capacity, I designed the company’s website, created tools for contracted projects, managed customer communications, and administered internal collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence. These experiences broadened my design and technical skill set while reinforcing my ability to deliver high-quality solutions in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.

I grew up in a creative, hands-on family that shaped how I see the world. My mom sewed, my dad gardened and cooked, and my sister danced, and from each of them, I picked up a sense of craft, rhythm, and curiosity. As a kid, I was constantly taking apart appliances and gadgets to see how they worked. That curiosity turned into capability, and before long, I became the go-to “tech guy” in the family - the one who could fix what others couldn’t.
Later on, I met my wife, Cass, whose drive and empathy have been a constant source of motivation. Watching her pursue her dream of becoming a physician assistant reminded me to pursue mine with just as much heart. Together, we rescued a Pitbull-Hound mix named Foster, though he also proudly answers to "Stinky."
We got married in 2023 and are looking forward to future adventures - traveling, growing together, and eventually planting roots in a place that feels like home.
My creative journey began with music in 2005 when I got my first drum set. Years of practice, performing in school, and playing in bands deepened my connection to the arts and opened the door to other creative outlets like cooking, hiking, whittling, interior design, short films, and game design.
In college, I started in Computer Engineering but quickly realized that backend development lacked the creative fulfillment I was looking for. Switching to Management Information Systems allowed me to combine technical skills with human-centered problem-solving. That shift, along with later training in UI/UX design, helped me recognize that my early love of game design was really a doorway into a broader passion: product design. I’ve been chasing that intersection of creativity and usability ever since.
